Lidl’s Monsieur Cuisine is a popular tool for consumers thanks to its excellent value for money. A contest circulating in mailboxes promises you to win the food processor. Attention, it is yet another scam, a phishing operation being at work.
It is an understatement to say that the Lidl kitchen robot unleashes passions. Remember the crowds of customers on the shelves of the brand, determined to get their hands on the Monsieur Cuisine Smart. The device is prized for its wide range of features at a greatly reduced price compared to competing products. And when a “contest” promises to get one for free, some can easily fall for it, especially since the robot is off the shelves until further notice.
Distrust, a fake Lidl contest promises you a Mr. Kitchen!
Currently, an email highlighting an enticing visual is spreading. “Answer and win a brand new (sic) Monsieur Cuisine”can we read in particular with a pretty fault that already puts us on the trail of fraud. “You have been selected to participate in our loyalty program for free! It will only take you a minute to receive a fantastic prize”indicates the ad before prompting you to click on a link.
Please don’t click on it. The criminals here seek to suck up your personal data by asking you to fill in information on a fake site. A classic phishing operation that must therefore be snubbed at all costs. Just look at the sender’s email address – [email protected] – to get to the bottom of it. This has nothing to do with an official address belonging to the brand.
As often, hackers do not launch this kind of fake contest by chance. By doing a quick search on the Lidl website, we learned that a real competition to win a food processor had been organized from November 21 to 29, 2022. All the rest is just literature!
