Mexico City.- Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis, died this Thursday at the age of 54 after presenting a cardiac arrest, her mother, Priscilla Presley, said in a statement.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever met. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this deep loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment,” said the ex-wife of the “King of Rock And Roll”.
Hospitalized in California, Lisa Marie Presley had been induced into an artificial coma and was under respiratory assistance, according to sources close to TMZ.
Craig Little, a spokesman for the county fire department, said Los Angeles County paramedics were dispatched to a Calabasas home at 10:37 am after receiving a report of a woman having a cardiac arrest. Property records indicate that Presley is a resident of that city.
On Tuesday, Lisa Marie attended the Golden Globes ceremony with her mother, where they watched actor Austin Butler win Best Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of Elvis.

Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, exactly nine months after Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding.
She was nine years old when Elvis died at Graceland in 1977, becoming a joint heir to his estate along with grandfather Vernon Presley and great-grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley, until they too died.
She also owned her father’s Graceland mansion in Memphis, a popular tourist attraction.
His own music career began with a 2003 debut album, To Whom It May Concern. It was followed by 2005’s Now What, and both reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart. A third album, Storm and Grace, was released in 2012.
Presley was married four times, her husbands were: Danny Keough, Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage and Michael Lockwood.
