RThis Saturday, the 67th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Liverpool, United Kingdom, with Sweden taking home the victory. Portugal was in 23rd place.

Loreen, who won with the theme ‘Tattoo’, with 583 points, had already won first place in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, with ‘Euphoria’. This is the seventh time that Sweden has won the contest, after triumphs in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012 and 2015.

In 2nd place was Finland (536 points), with the theme ‘Cha Cha Cha’, performed by Käärijä, ahead of Israel (362 points), with Noa Kirel, who took the theme ‘Unicor’.

Portugal was in 23rd place this year, with Mimicat and the song ‘Ai Coração’ winning just 59 points.

Remember that, last year, Ukraine was the winner of the festival, with ‘Stefania’ from the Kalush Orchestra, and the country should host the contest this year. However, the war led the organization to decide that the United Kingdom, in second place, would be the host country.

After all, the contest will return to Sweden in 2024, 50 years after the first victory with the theme ‘Waterloo’, by ABBA.
