A new wave of bans has hit Lost ArkSmilegate’s game thus saw its population go from 300,000 to around 100,000 active players, in a move that removed tens of thousands of bots but apparently also regular accounts of active players.

Or rather, inactive players, because according to various reports, many players who have not logged in for weeks they found themselves banned for no apparent reasongiven that inactivity is certainly not one of the main causes of an indefinite ban.

So the system seems to have cleaned up by deleting not only bots but also inactive accounts of unsuspecting players who thus found themselves unable to access the game at any moment for no apparent reason. According to some reports collected on ResetERA, it seems that many banned accounts were not actually verified on Steam and this would have contributed to the ban of the profiles.

Anyhow, Smilegate has not yet commented on the story, however in these hours the reports related to unfair bans due to inactivity are increasing. We just have to wait for any clarifications from the developers, in the meantime we remind you that the Lost Ark x The Witcher 3 event begins on January 18th.
