Shocked islanders were told about the re-coupling by Love Island host Maya Jama.

Since the hit ITV2 and ITVX show debuted on Monday, Love Island bosses have put three bombs in the villa to spice up the action.

And their idea paid off, with fans watching bombshells Tom Clare, Zara Lackenby-Brown and David Salacko start piggybacking.

A source said: “News of a re-coupling sent shockwaves through the villa.

“One of the islanders got red-faced after they weren’t picked and went home.

“The first re-coupling is always tough and it’s fair to say that this one will have viewers on the edge of their seats.”

That’s not the only surprise the islanders have to deal with.

Last night The Sun exclusively revealed the biggest twist this year – with two islanders veterans of the international versions of the show arriving in South Africa.

A source from ITV said: “The two new international signings are essentially professional bombshells and won’t just rock the villa, they’ll blow it up.

“Both of them jumped in bed, bonked and argued during their Love Island seasons.

“And neither has an ounce of British restraint about them.

“They’re going to create explosive TV, like they did the first time around.

“They are exactly what this show needs to cause some serious drama.”

There are 25 different versions of Love Island around the world.

For now, ITV remains coy about the origin of their secret weapons.

But with the channel only showing the Australian and US versions on its hub – now known as ITVX – it’s more likely fans can expect to see familiar faces from Down Under or the Other Side. from the pond.

ITV made waves last year when it welcomed 2018 bad boy Adam Collard to the villa in a dramatic return – a move that was criticized by Women’s Aid after his debut was shrouded in controversy over how he treated girls.

But Aussie fans were treated to arguably the craziest twist yet, when season three winners Mitch Hibberd and Tina Provis returned separately in season four as warring exes and then rekindled their love in the villa.
