This Friday he arrived in the United States to hold a bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden. This is the third diplomatic meeting that the Brazilian president has held, after his visit to Argentina and Uruguay, in the midst of public criticism that Jair Bolsonaro enunciated from the North American country itself.

He then met with representatives of the AFL-CIO, the main US labor confederation, which awarded him a human rights award while Lula was in prison.
The United States is the second commercial partner of Brazil, with an exchange that in 2022 reached 88.700 million dollars. In this sense, it is expected that, in addition to strengthening commercial ties, they will prioritize environmental care on the agenda, considering one of Lula’s campaign promises: to end deforestation in the Amazon by 2030.
