LUMA Energy, the consortium in charge of the transmission and distribution of the country’s electrical system, requested another increase in the electricity bill for the quarter from July to September.
The increase would be 0.7 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). That is, the cost per kWh would rise from 20.9 to 21.66 cents for residential customers.
This would represent an increase of $3.04 for subscribers who consume an average of 400 kWh per month.
It should be noted that the increase does not respond to a fuel adjustment, according to journalist Milly Méndez.
