The food manufacturer Hai Yen GmbH and Co KG informed about one Product recall of dried fruit and lotus seeds because of increased sulfur dioxide content. Consumption of these products can health problems cause. Especially the bronchi are in danger. The manufacturer therefore advises against the consumption of these products.
If the goods are returned to Hai Yen GmbH & Co KG in Albert Rosshaupterstr. 52,81369 Munich or Thomas-Dehler Str. 13, 81737 Munich, the purchase price will be refunded. The purchased product may be disposed of at home, since the presentation of the receipt is sufficient. If the receipt is lost, the goods can be taken away to claim a refund.
These products are affected by possible sulfur dioxide pollution:
- Mut Dua Bun dried coconut meat, 500 grams, MHD: 09/18/2023 – from the manufacturer Thien Phat
- Mut Tao Vang- candied, dried apples, 250 grams, MHD: 05.10.2023 – from the manufacturer Anh Qui
- Courage has sen lotus seeds, 200 grams, MHD: 09/18/2023 – from the manufacturer Anh Qui
- Mut Dua dried coconut meat, 200 grams, MHD: 09/18/2023 – from the manufacturer Anh Qui
- Mut Dua Sua dried coconut meat, 250 grams, MHD: 09/20/2023 – from the manufacturer Anh Qui
The manufacturer also recommends not consuming these products with an older best-before date. Older products may also be affected as the manufacturing process used to produce them was very likely the same as the samples tested.
Another company is also recalling dried fruit. The manufacturer Eurogroup Deutschland GmbH refers to the following product for reasons of preventive consumer protection: Simply Sunny, dried figs, 400g, best before date: 05.2023, batch: OA350020356/2 – 11 – 630.
“Storage mold” contained in product: manufacturer warns against consumption of dried figs
Consumption of the affected product is strongly discouraged. reason for the precautionary recall of the batch concerned Ochratoxin A (so-called “storage mold”). The company therefore reacted immediately and had the affected product withdrawn from sale immediately. From this precautionary measure are products with different best-before dates and batches are not affected.
Customers can return the product in the respective market and get a refund of the purchase price, too without presenting the receipt. Eurogroup Deutschland GmbH expressly apologizes to consumers for the inconvenience caused.
