The Government of Malabrigoled by the mayor Roberto Sponton, inaugurated one of the important works that he has been working on: the new paved access what connects the city with National Route 11 from Federico Carlos Sigel and General López avenues.

It is a work of approximately 2000 linear meters of asphalt tape which required numerous complementary works to make it safe and durable over time. Technical studies were carried out (since it is a natural drainage area), leveling and elevation of the road (up to 1 m in very low areas), construction of new drainage channels, consolidation of shoulders for greater safety, reconstruction and expansion of bridges. and sewers, led lighting in the junction area with Route 11, among other works.

“Together we are building the city we dream of. A modern, inclusive, productive, sustainable and environmentally friendly city. Today we are inaugurating a work that makes Malabrigo proud and contributes to the entire region. I appreciate the deep show of accompaniment that we received from the authorities and the neighbors”, said Mayor Roberto Sponton.

The project involved a investment of more than $32,000,000. Of that amount, around $14,000,000 was the contribution made by the government of the province, while the municipality was required to invest more than $17,000,000.

The event was well attended by the public, including various authorities: Senator Orfilio Marcón, National Deputy Carolina Castets, Provincial Deputy Marlén Espíndola, former Mayors Omar Zampar and Amado Zorzón (from Malabrigo) and Carlos Fabrisín and Jacinto Speranza (from Reconquista). In addition, Communal Presidents, Councilors, officials of the municipal executive, representatives of institutions, among others.

A special moment of the act was the imposition of the name to the new access. The Municipal Council approved the project sent by the DEM that assigns it as a name: “Carlos Alfredo Spontón” in recognition and homage to the first mayor of the city. “Carlucho”, as everyone knew him, was a visionary who achieved important transformations for Malabrigo, as well as being a man who offered himself at the service of his community with honesty and political vocation.

Finally, the event featured a performance by the “Sapucay” Folk Dance Ballet, whose members delighted the audience with a varied selection of traditional music from our culture.
