It was during Good Friday that the police opened fire against a man in his 30s after he broke into a residence and broke windows and a door. The man must have been armed with both an ax and a chainsaw, and must have refused to follow instructions, according to information to SVT Nyheter Blekinge.
The police then allegedly fired live fire that hit the man’s leg.
– We have received information from the healthcare system that it is not life-threatening, says Jimmy Modin, press spokesperson for the police in Region South.
On Sunday, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that it had submitted an arrest request against the man in his 30s, something that BLT was the first to report.
