Manuel Turizo: I have always noticed Ronaldinho because of his vibe

Life is full of metaphors. You can compare anything disparate, such as, for example, a Big Mac with Manuel Turizo, something unprecedented. The objective of each one is the same: that your product pleases the masses. McDonalds did it first in 1967, and the Colombian artist has been doing it for a few years now, as he told Diario AS. The only and most important ingredient is that people like your work.

Now he seeks to dazzle the masses with Bahamasa song he sings along with My mind, another artist who is breaking it, he affirms. I knew him before and he is at a very high level. He is breaking up and doing very brutal things. He is young like me and we like to try different things. I admire him, respect him and he inspires me. This song will open the treasure chest of memories of those who have had a summer love and suffered the consequences of distancing. If this has ever happened to you, it’s because you buggered yourself., it is said in Colombia. There we say when you fuck yourself, you fuck yourself, they did it very well for you and you stayed stuck.

He also wants to seal his mark in Spain through collaborations with national artists. This is his second collaboration, the first with I’m sorryalthough they seem few. Omar Montes o Bad Gyal are his objectives, although he does not hide his predilection for Alejandro Sanz, whom he has admired since he was a child. I grew up with his music because I liked it a lot. Despite his wishes, The artist prefers to cling to the present and whatever comes rather than predicting what his nearest musical future will be.. Tomorrow can change everything.

FULL INTERVIEW

-From what I have read, you have been a McDonald’s consumer since you were a child. What do you think your childhood self would say or think about having a menu with your name on it?

The truth is that I would never have imagined having a menu at McDonalds with my name on it. We all want to have these types of opportunities.

-What do your friends tell you? Do they joke with you?

Brutal. Most of my friends are not in Spain, but they did notice and were amazed. They say let’s see him and now he has a menu at McDonalds. Seriously? Sometimes they hesitate (laughs).

-Not only do you appear together, in this promotion you have also released the song Bahamas A Big Mac is liked for its ingredients. What do you think are the necessary ingredients for Bahamas to be the song of the summer?

The only and most important ingredient is that people like your work. That’s all. I feel like we try to flow, we try to do cool things and things that we like, but what we like is not necessarily what people like. We put it out because we love the song. They are the ones who decide what the songs of the summer are. Given that, you never have a meter or you never have a way to know if it is or is not.

-This is the first time you collaborate with Saiko. What did you think when they told you to collaborate with him? What does it mean to you to work with this artist?

The only and most important ingredient is that people like it. That’s all. I feel like we try to flow, we try to do cool things and things that we like, but what we like is not necessarily what people like.

-The song describes a summer romance between a man and a woman who take a trip to the Bahamas. The first one can’t help but remember it while a vibrant rhythm plays. Have you ever experienced a similar situation with a summer love who was like a Big Mac?

Of course, it happens to all of us. In Colombia we say when you fuck yourself, you fuck yourself, they did it very well for you and you stayed stuck.

-I don’t know if you can tell me anything, but I would like to know if Bahamas is the turning point for subsequent joint collaborations with Saiko.

So far it’s the only thing we’ve done together, but the road is very long. There are many things we can still do. We only met recently, but I really like what he does because he is very talented. It has a very well marked and identified style. The truth is that anything can happen.

-This is the second collaboration you have done with an artist from our country. Which Spanish artist would you like to collaborate with?

I really like what Omar Montes is doing. I really like the song he has with El Bobe (El Conjuntito). Alejandro Sanz, I have always said it. I grew up with Alejandro Sanz’s music because I liked it a lot. Bad Gyal I like the style he has. I tell you those.

I believe in the music of Alejandro Sanz

Manuel Turizo

-Summer is just around the corner. What awaits you in those months?

We will be non-stop. We have like 15 concerts in the summer.

-And if I tell you Santiago Bernabu…

Hopefully someday. It will be brutal.

-I’m asking you because I know you’re a Real Madrid fan. Did you see the game against City?

I couldn’t see it because I was working, but I found out what happened.

-Do you think that an emerging artist or one with an extensive career has to have that Real Madrid DNA to be the best?

You always have to have it, totally. He who gives up is the one who loses because if you don’t give up you are still a winner. People who give up have already lost. If you think about giving up, you are not going to achieve anything. Until then stay. Whatever you want to achieve you have to work for it. In all areas it is the same.

-Speaking of music, you enjoy great success and turn everything you touch into gold. What is the best thing that music has given you?

The best thing is to do what I like. I have always dreamed of being a singer, but at first you think that your project is impossible, when it is close it is unlikely and when it happens it is like you don’t believe it. I dreamed about it a lot, but I didn’t know that my dream was so real. Music is what I like the most because I wouldn’t dedicate myself to anything else in life other than this.

-And the worst?

I don’t know, I feel like everything in life has its sacrifices, it has its pros and cons, but when you make the decision you are aware of the pros and cons. You make the decision because you don’t care much about the cons, but rather you go straight for an objective. There is nothing like that that drills into my mind, that says that I don’t like this or that bothers me. There are things that I enjoy more than others. I love getting into a studio because I enjoy it more than anything.

I ask you the worst… because I consider that social networks take a toll on celebrities when they receive criticism or insults. Does it affect you?

That is what I was going to say to you. You are the one who decides if criticism affects you. You are who you are. If you’re looking to please people, you’re nobody. You don’t even know who you are. That’s why it has to be you. Act as you are, as you were taught and as your principles are, because there are people who will connect with you and will think like you. He will feel reflected in you. There are also people who are going to hate you and who are going to tell you a thousand things, but that is not in your shoes because everyone is free to give their opinion. That doesn’t stop me from sleeping.

You are the one who decides if criticism affects you

Manuel Turizo

-Since I come from a sports background, which athlete, whether from now or another time, would you compare yourself to?

I have always liked Ronaldinho a lot. I have always noticed Ronaldinho because I feel that he is a person who has a very cool vibe. He was a person who did magic and was always smiling.

To conclude, can you advance any project or collaboration that you have in hand that no one knows about?

I think they know what we are doing. Now we are working on whatever comes because I can say one thing, but tomorrow I can change my mind and I can turn around. Actually, I don’t have secrets.
