Maria Corina Machado claims she was the victim of an attack

CARACAS.- Venezuelan opposition leader, Maria Corina Machadosent an alert message through its social networks to report a outrage against him.

“This morning, an attack was committed against me and my team in Barquisimeto, Lara state. Our cars were vandalized and the brake hoses were cut.”, wrote Machado.

In the published video, Machado warned about the state in which the vehicles were found after spending the night in a private residential area with security, detailing that the bodywork was damaged with paint and mechanical damage was committed against both trucks.

“Today is July 18th. We are ten days away from July 28th. I am in the city of Barquisimeto, where we spent the night on our way from Portuguesa to Caracas. And this is how our vehicles turned up in a private residential area with night surveillance.”

Constant attacks on the opposition

Since the electoral campaign began, the opposition has denounced systematic acts of vandalism and aggression by the Maduro regime against the leadership that accompanies María Corina Machado and the presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia.

The NGO Foro Penal, dedicated to the defense of political prisoners, recently reported that there were 102 arrests linked to the opposition’s presidential campaign.
