Police officers in Baden-Württemberg stopped a drunk truck driver with almost four and a half per thousand behind the wheel.

The man attracted attention due to his unsafe driving style and repeatedly encountered oncoming traffic on the federal highway 294 between Walzbachtal and Bretten, as the police in Karlsruhe announced on Wednesday. Accordingly, the officials had to pull the man out of the driver’s cab during the check on Tuesday morning.

A breath alcohol test showed 4.4 per thousand. During the check, there were indications that the 26-year-old’s driver’s license and ID could be forged.

A check revealed that the man was already wanted on an arrest warrant for an outstanding fine. He was arrested and taken to prison. He is now being investigated for, among other things, endangering road traffic, driving without a license and forgery of documents. (AFP)
