Massimo Stecchini, Italian businessman and partner of Pepa Flores (popularly known as Marisol) for 35 years, has died at dawn this Sunday at the age of 63 due to a heart attack. in Malaga, as revealed by the newspaper On. Stecchini would have died suddenly and his body already rests in the Parcemasa funeral home after having shared the last decades with the artist from Malaga, especially since his withdrawal from the media spotlight in 1985.
The Italian, who was going to turn 64 on September 20, has left a huge void among his family and friends. In recent years Massimo has been forced to work as spokesperson for Pepa Flores on more than one occasion because she has rejected all the invitations received to appear at a public event. He even decided not to go to collect in person the Goya de Honor that the Film Academy awarded him in 2020 at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace in Malaga and it was his daughters who collected it in his name.
Stecchini has been for years the visible face of the El Trastevere pizzeria, one of the first Italian food businesses in Malaga, which was owned by his brother and now belongs to one of his nephews.
