Massive fire leaves about 15 families homeless north of Houston

HOUSTON – About 15 north Houston families were left homeless after a fire engulfed an apartment complex in the Greenspoint area.

According to the Fire Department, the incident occurred shortly before 10 pm this Wednesday in a complex located at 13111 Northborough.

The flames quickly engulfed the units, forcing about 50 people to run out of their apartments.

The occurrence rate is higher compared to other breeds.

In total, some 24 apartments were affected, although several of them were vacant.

Only one person had to be transported to an area hospital. Others affected were treated at the scene without further risk to their health or life.

The administration of the apartment complex relocated the affected families to other units that were unoccupied at the time of the conflagration.
