Members of the Scientific Police who participated in the investigation of the murder / telam

The first week of hearings for the trial for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa, the young man murdered in Villa Gesell in 2020, has ended. In a day that was shorter than the previous ones, the Dolores Court confirmed that it will continue next Monday, April 9. January.

In the midst of the pain and stupor caused by the anguish-laden accounts of horrified witnesses who testified and recalled the viciousness against the victim, one of the eight defendants became very complicated again after an important revelation.

This is Máximo Thomsen, who is pointed out by witnesses as the leader of that horde of violent people who attacked Fernando.

After he was accused of being the one who kicked the head when the victim lay static on the ground; and that he went to eat a hamburger after the brutal attack, yesterday he was once again the exclusive protagonist.

An officer and experts from the Scientific Police said that it was Thomsen who had mentioned the name of Pablo Ventura during the search, the rower who at the time of the crime was in Zárate, 500 kilometers away, and for this accusation he spent four days detained and incommunicado. .

“Whose is this shoe?”, he said that an expert and the prosecutor who intervened at the time, Walter Mercuri, asked during the search at the house where they were arrested. The answer was not long in coming: “From Pablo”, answered one of them, and said that he had gone to Zárate. “What Pablo”, the officials inquired: “Ventura”.

In this way, the cash became the first witness to identify who falsely involved the rower who was dismissed in the murder case.

On the day of the arrest, the police officer said that when they arrived at the house “a male person came out” who “had a tail and was one of the young people who were at the scene.”

“10 cell phones were seized,” added the police officer, who stated that those involved at that time “were not aggressive” and “never resisted.”

Finally, the cash reported that the next day the prosecutor’s office ordered the kidnapping of other items in the house, including shoes and clothing.

Consulted by the lawyer for the defendants, Hugo Tomei, about the reason why the person who had mentioned the rower Ventura was not recorded in a record, the officer said: “They are statements that the prosecution said not to put up, so they took it upon themselves to the DDI”.

Later, Hugo Vázquez, from the Scientific Police, coordinator of Operative Sol in the summer of 2020, said that the accused did not take into account the seriousness of the matter. “They were very giggly,” he recalled.

“We had to call their attention several times so they wouldn’t laugh. We told them that what we were doing was serious and they would not comply. Several times we had to call their attention,” said Vázquez, who clarified that they did not kidnap a pair of Cyclone shoes from each, but only one.

“I broke his whole face”

Andrea Ranno, receptionist at the “Inti Huasi” hotel located meters from the entrance arch to the forest, in the northern area of Villa Gesell, where the defendants had rented the house, told yesterday at the hearing that that early morning she saw a young man rushing the step, followed by a patota.

“This little group of boys was laughing, filming themselves, I can’t tell why there was so much buzz, what were they celebrating, and they all felt like they were participating in the celebration. And one of them says: ‘I broke his whole face, I broke his whole face. I filled his entire face with blood,’” said Ranno, the receptionist.

He then described how he saw the boy walking ahead. He “did it in an outrageous way, with his fists clenched, his arms next to his body. He was very angry, in a very conspicuous way, like he was taken out ”.

He also described how he dressed, then identified him in the videos and pointed out that he was Máximo Thomsen.

Hugo Tomei, lawyer for the defendants, asked that the witness’s statement in the investigation be read. The complaint was opposed and there were crosses, for which the president of the Court, María Claudia Castro, intervened and asked that the defender continue with the interrogation.

In this way about fifty witnesses passed before the Court from Monday. Next week will begin with testimony from doctors and court officials.
