Media and interview professional Dr. Kathrin Prüfig specifically prepares you for this.

With media training and targeted exercises for a good and effective appearance

No matter whether you want more active media presence or whether you simply cannot avoid it in your role as managing director, board member, CEO or expert: good preparation is what counts! It provides security and sovereignty and helps to convey one’s own specialist knowledge or the role as an expert or industry representative in a convincing manner.

But how does an appearance in the media succeed? How can you actively help shape media contact – even if the questions are funny or uncomfortable? How do you conduct a conversation with journalists confidently and at the same time sympathetically? How do you specifically prepare for this?

This training provides answers. dr Kathrin Prüfig accompanies you on the way from optimal preparation to a successful interview, background discussion or talk show appearance.

  • Efficient content preparation with the MessagesTree®
  • Ingredients of good communication: Important aspects in storytelling for journalists
  • Parachutes for Difficult Conversations: Strategies for Dealing with Unexpected Questions
  • Training and practical exercises: Variants of interviews in front of microphone and camera (recorded, live / face-to-face and virtual)
  • Strategies for appearances in various formats (e.g. statement, interview, background discussion, talk show)
  • Tips for facial expressions, body language, outfit and make-up

The training takes place in small groups of four to a maximum of six people. This group size enables a large number of practical exercises with subsequent video analysis and feedback. The trainer is journalistically prepared for your topics and has mastered the repertoire from gentle, informative to critical interviews.

The speaker Dr. Katrin Prüfig has worked as a journalist, reporter and moderator for almost three decades – and since 2002 as a communication and media trainer at home and abroad. She has been a “Certified Media Trainer (SHB)” since 2015 and is therefore one of only a few certified media trainers in Germany. In 2020, she supplemented her studies in communication with a master’s degree in neuroscience. Until 2014, the dedicated journalist moderated the daily news on ARD and Tagesschau 24 and stood in front of the camera for the business magazines “markt” and “Plusminus”. Her book on the subject: Media Training Workbook, published in 2018 by Verlag Schäffer-Poeschl.
