Following the attack on Donald Trump this Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified the shooter who attempted to assassinate the former president as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania..

Crooks lived in Bethel Park, about 35 miles south of Butler, where the Republican leader’s rally was being held. He graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2022.
