The anniversary of Mérida took place within the framework of the traditional magna vaquería, in which local folkloric ballets and guests demonstrated to the public that gathered on Calle 61 and 62, their best jarana steps wearing the typical costume of Yucatan.

Subsequently, the alborada took place, an activity in which the mayor of the city is accompanied by the different groups and associations of troubadours from Mérida, in a walk that starts from the Cathedral to the Parque de Santa Lucía, where a serenade is dedicated. to the city, where you can’t miss songs like “the mornings” and “Pilgrim”.

In this 2022, the anniversary of the Yucatecan capital also includes a billboard of events framed in the Mérida Fest, which include great artists such as Aterciopelados and Óscar D’León, who share the program with local talents such as Dzereco and Nohoch, Chepita Kakatúa and Cuxum, which attract both people who live in the city and those who are visiting.
