The stock markets of Mexico are trading in positive territory this Thursday. Local indices rise, maintaining the strong start to the year, as investors expect more issuers to release their fourth-quarter 2022 corporate results today.

The referential index S&P/BMV CPI of the Mexican stock exchange (BMV), which groups the 35 most liquid shares in the local market, rises 0.81% to 53,648.58 units. The FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), moves 0.81% to 1,120.58 points.

Within the reference index, most of the components operate in positive territory, with 28 stocks in the green and seven in the red. The best performances are obtained by the shares of Carso Groupwith 4.40%, and Inbursa Financial Groupwith 2.65 percent.

Prices advance contrary to what is observed in the markets abroad. So far this year, the S&P/BMV IPC index accumulates a gain of more than 10.5 percent. Later the market will receive the quarterly reports of Banorte Y Kimberly Clark.
