At Farmen celebrity, twelve participants will live together for several weeks. Some know each other from before, while others are met by completely new faces.

This means that there are many names to learn. It was not easy for everyone. One of those who struggled to learn all the names was TV personality Aleksander Sæterstøl (27).

– Always struggled with it

For large parts of the stay, Sæterstøl struggled with several names, and in particular with Ørnulf Høyer (66) and Aslak Maurstad (30). This despite the fact that the latter and Sæterstøl became close friends during their participation.

Aslak was happy to go to Eskil. Or Askild.

– He is not so good at names, but he is very good at name days. He had just greeted me and remembered: “Oh, 15 September”, he also thought about whose name day it was. Yes, it’s Aslak and Eskil, laughs Maurstad.

Sæterstøl himself says that remembering names has been a consistent problem for him.

– I have always struggled with that. I’ve always been extremely bad at names. I have dyslexia, and then I have ADD. I got that on paper. I mean I got it in the 7th grade, and then I went to a place called BUP, he reveals to TV 2.

BUP is a service that stands for Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic. ADD is a subtype of ADHD: an abbreviation for “attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder” and is an attention disorder, according to NHI.

Got a tip

He has especially mixed the name of Høyer with “Ugleif” and “Ugluff”. Now he explains the background for this.

– When they said Ørnulf, I thought eagle. It’s a bird, but I only thought of an owl. I called him “Ugleif” so much that the others started calling him that too, says Sæterstøl and laughs.

To remember the name of his friend, Aslak Maurstad, he received a special tip. He had never greeted anyone named Aslak before. Then Maurstad himself took action.
