The referential index S&P/BMV CPI of the Mexican stock exchange (BMV), which measures the 35 most liquid stocks in the domestic market, moved 0.10% to 53,631.89 points. The index FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), gained 0.21% to 1,120.72 units.

Within the benchmark, most components closed with gains, with 27 stocks in the green and eight in the red. The best performances were obtained by the titles of Coca Cola FEMSA, with 3.51; Pinfra, with 3.17, and Asur, with an advance of 3.01 percent.

The Mexican stock markets interrupted their streak of nine days with gains on Friday. So far this year, compared to a close of 48,463.86 units on December 30, the S&P/BMV IPC accumulates a gain for the year of 5,168.03 points or 10.66 percent.
