In film production, accidents are unfortunately more common than you think. Bruce Lee’s son Brandon Lee died filming The Crow when a revolver used malfunctioned, stuntwoman Joi Harris who starred in Deadpool 2 died in a motorcycle accident, and actor Vic Morrow and two children died in a helicopter crash during the making of Twilight Zone: The Movie .

Now it is said that tragedy had struck again at what was then the filming of 6 Underground with Michel Bay at the helm which was released on Netflix in 2019. Italian authorities accuse Michel Bay of causing the death of another by an unnamed pigeon. The pigeon was a homing pigeon, better known as a homing pigeon, which is believed to have been in the area where the film was shot without permission.

This after a whistleblower claims to have seen the incident, taken a picture of the aftermath and sent it to the Italian authorities. Because Bay was in charge of the shoot, it falls on his shoulders if someone under him didn’t get enough direction to avoid a potentially fatal accident, since it hasn’t been possible to find out for sure whether the pigeon died or not. In Italy it is a crime to injure, kill or capture wild birds. Of which a wild carrier pigeon would be counted among these.

Italian authorities have offered Michel Bay to be able to put this behind him by paying a small fine. But for reasons of principle he refuses as he claims to be an animal lover and paying a fine would be an admission of guilt, as he denies that his actions have led to the death of an innocent pigeon. Bay himself commented on the whole thing in an interview with The Wrap.

“I am a well-known animal lover and major animal activist” “No animal involved in the production was injured or harmed. Or on any other production I’ve worked on in the past 30 years.”

What do you think about the whole situation, is Bay to blame?
