In May last year, the Home, Pro, Pro Education and Pro for Workstation editions of Windows 10 20H2 reached the end of support (EOS or End of Service), leaving only Enterprise, Education and IoT. Coming to EOS means that the operating system will no longer receive cumulative security updates and so it is recommended that the administrator upgrade Windows to the next version or to Windows 11. Now, Enterprise, Education and IoT editions have arrived on EOS and will no longer receive monthly patches.

Version 20H2 of Windows 10 was the latest to bring considerable changes and new features to the operating system. In it, users gained theme-aware blocks for the Start menu, a redesign for notifications, tweaks to the taskbar, optimizations for touchscreen devices, etc. There was also a replacement of the original Edge (based on EdgeHTML) by the Chromium-based version.

It is important to mention that Windows 10 version 21H2 will arrive on EOS on June 13, 2023 for almost all editions of the operating system, with the exception of Enterprise, Education and IoT, which will continue to receive updates for another 1 year. Consequently, the ideal thing is that you update Windows 10 to version 22H2, which is the last version of Windows 10 to be released by Microsoft, as Oficina da Net reported in this article.
