Microsoft PowerToys is a collection of tools and utilities designed to improve Windows performance and usability. The tools include features like a screen magnifier, quick access to frequently used files and folders, real-time monitoring of file system changes, and much more.
PowerToys was originally developed for Windows 95, but there are versions for later versions of Windows. Meanwhile, version 0.66 releasedwhich primarily aims to improve stability and revise some existing features.
This includes, among other things, that PowerToys are now being delivered with their own .NET 7. This eliminates the need to install .NET as part of the installer and makes it easier to stay up to date.
Also new is that you can now choose which of the installed OCR languages Text Extractor uses by selecting it in the context menu with the right mouse button. Also added a setting to sort the order of accented characters by frequency of use in Quick Accent.
