Are there any Xbox Series X price hikes coming? At the moment, one could say no, at least as far as the European market is concerned. However, just as we discuss the possible increase in costs of Microsoft’s hardware and services, new news has come about to the rising cost of the Xbox Series S in India.

While one wonders what the future of Microsoft and Xbox, some information has come from Twitter on what will be the new Xbox Series S cost for all Indian consumers. A few months ago, following a further increase in the prices of the minor console of the new generation of crusades green consoles, the increase in costs in India had led to an increase in the purchase value of the aforementioned Xbox console.

The latest information received in August 2022 spoke of a market price of Xbox Series S equal to 37,990 rupees, equivalent to 437.26 euros (January 2023 exchange rate). However, there is no good news for the younger sister of the Xbox Series X, as players who purchase the gaming platform in India will have to undergo a second price increase.

Xbox Series S it can be pre-ordered from 10 January 2023 at a cost of 39,990 rupees. The difference of 2000 rupees corresponds to a good 23 euros of difference, thus bringing the cost of the all-digital console to a market value of 460.28 euros. This is a substantial difference, which aggravates a not at all rosy situation on the hardware front. The lack of gaming platforms is therefore joined by a variation in prices which continues to increase even to the detriment of the recent variations which, as previously mentioned, have already occurred in the second half of 2022.

At the moment, therefore, it is legitimate to ask when and if these changes will take place – albeit in a different way – in the rest of the global markets. To date there is no information on the possible change in Microsoft’s pricing policy in Europealthough industry analysts do not rule it out a priori.
