You will soon know Mighty DOOM, a software revealed by Bethesda several months ago and that no one saw coming. Don’t expect a classic DOOM experience as you imagine, this app responds to codes that are somewhat different from those previously used by the franchise.
The Slayer will change his ways
Its existence may surprise you, but the game was announced in April 2021 by the publisher. Let’s be honest, we were expecting something else at the time, especially after the critical and commercial success of Doom Eternal released in March 2020, but Bethesda decided to take on a hell of a challenge.
Entrusted to the teams of the Canadian studio Alpha Dog specializing in the development of mobile games, Mighty DOOM is presented as a free-to-play, run & gun, roguelite allowing players to control a Mini Slayer from above.
You will travel through more than 100 levels inspired by the most iconic locations in the franchise while destroying hordes of demons as well as very tough bosses.
Each of your victories will allow your character to unlock powerful skills and improve their arsenal, all served by an art direction inspired by the collectible toys of DOOM Eternal.
Available in early access for a chosen handful for almost two years, Mighty DOOM will be playable for everyone from March 21 on iOS and Android via the Apple Store and the shop Google Play.
