A devastating tornado incident in Tennessee ripped apart a mobile home in Clarksville on Saturday, taking a 4-month-old in his bassinet with it.

Amidst the chaos and destruction, the parents miraculously found the baby unharmed, lying on a downed tree, after a harrowing 10-minute search in the pouring rain.

Sydney Moorethe baby’s mother (Lordy), recounted how the tornado swept through her home, lifting roofs and knocking down walls, while she clung to her other one-year-old son (Princeton).

Her boyfriend and the baby’s father struggled to hold him inside the bassinet, but both were swept away by the storm. Miraculously, the little boy was found unharmed among the rubble, next to a downed tree and in the rain. He only had a small scratch on his face.

“I was convinced he was lost forever, but here he is, praise the grace of God,” Moore said with deep relief.

The family survived with minor injuries, although their home and possessions were a total loss. To this day they only mourn the loss of their cat Baluewhich has not been found after the devastating meteorological event.

In the face of this disaster, Moore’s sister has launched a fundraising campaign in GoFundMegenerating overwhelming support with over $100,000 to date.

Tragically, other victims were not so lucky. Six people lost their lives amid this series of storms, including a 10-year-old boy named Arlan Garrick Cotyaccording to CBS News.

Arlan’s mother, Katherine Burnhammourned his loss in an emotional post on Facebook.

The Clarksville Police Department identified other fatalities, while in Nashville, three people died when the storm hit a mobile home community, leaving a trail of destruction and tragedy in its wake.
