MIAMI.- The modelo Alexis Smithwho managed to win the title of Miss Kansas In the local beauty pageant, they were crowned in the middle of a night in which she not only demonstrated that she has beauty and skills that stand out in a miss, but also by revealing in the middle of the contest that she had been a victim of abuse and the perpetrator was in the audience.

The incident occurred on July 12, but a video has only recently gone viral on social media in which Smith, center stage, talks about the work he wanted to promote as a state representative.

The young woman bravely explained that her goal was to create a platform that would make visible the dangers that abusive and toxic relationships generate. “Reclaiming respect is about reclaiming your power and standing firmly in it. On Miss Kansas night, my journey took an unexpected turn when someone I’ve been healing from tried to disturb my peace. Instead of falling into silence, I chose to live my vision for a better world. I took back my power, not just for myself, but for my dreams and all who watch and listen to me,” she wrote.

Alexis Smith said she will share her knowledge and tools so that other women can identify when they are in unhealthy relationships and get out of them.

“This isn’t about rejecting others; it’s about turning our pain into purpose and channeling it in a way that unifies and uplifts. I am ready to use my story, tools, and resources to end unhealthy relationships in all their forms. My voice and advocacy will empower everyone to claim their own power in their own unique way.”

“I may be small in stature, but I stand tall in strength, purpose and power in hopes of inspiring others to do the same,” she concluded.
