Missing West University father Brett Detamore found alive

HOUSTON – In news that has brought relief to the West U community, Brett Detamore, a 38-year-old father and father of three, has been found alive after going missing since Wednesday, June 21. According to Harris County District 1 Sheriff Alan Rosen, Detamore was located early Tuesday morning.

Detamore, was last seen early Wednesday morning in the vicinity of West U, west of Bellaire.

The news of the discovery was shared by Sheriff Rosen on his Twitter account, where he expressed: “The family wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers!” The authorities continue working to clarify the circumstances of Detamore’s disappearance and his subsequent discovery.

After several days of intense searching, Detamore was found alive and was immediately taken to a hospital for evaluation and medical treatment.

Last week, the West University Place Police had reported the discovery of the yellow Dodge Ram truck belonging to Detamore, which was found burned in Bear Creek Park, about 20 kilometers away. During a press conference, WUPD Police Chief Ken Walker revealed that a surveillance camera recorded the vehicle leaving the neighborhood in the early morning hours of the day she went missing.

The authorities continue to work to shed light on the events that led to his disappearance and the motives behind this incident.
