Mission girls are thrown from car after it rolls over and their dad will never walk again

The Flores de Mission family was heading to Houston, Texas, on Highway 59 when one of the tires on the Ford Expedition they were traveling in blew out, causing the vehicle to roll over and three of its passengers ejected.

The youngest of the family, Violeta, 12 years old, was the most affected in the accident. “She hasn’t woken up. She hasn’t opened her eyes right now. She’s in a induse coma (induced coma) because her brain is bleeding, she hit various parts of her head,” said Sanjuanita Esparza, who was also traveling in the damaged truck.

Upon reaching the town of Ganado, near Edna, Texas, the family heard a loud noise. “I woke up and in that I see that my husband is trying to maneuver. We took several turns,” explained Sanjuanita. The parents and their four children, three girls and one boy, were traveling in the van.

“The girls were expelled. They were taken by helicopter. They left in an emergency,” said Juan Molina, godfather of the youngest of the Flores family.

The diagnosis that Juan received is not encouraging for this family.

The father “will not be able to walk again”

Sanjuanita indicated that her husband, Juan, “will not be able to walk again. He can move his arms but not his hands.”

For his part, Violeta’s godfather reported that wearing a seat belt is of the utmost importance. “A large part of this could have been avoided if the girls; what happens is that the girls came asleep and took off their belts. They came lying down. For you to see, this is an experience of how the belt can save lives and make a big change “.

Juan Molina is hosting a cymbal sale this Saturday, July 8 at 610 Inspiration Street, in the City of Mission. If you wish to make a donation to the family you can call (956) 734-7500.
