On Saturday morning, a woman’s body was found on top of a barge traveling on the Mississippi River. The barge was traveling just north of downtown Memphis. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is investigating the death.
Other bodies found in the Mississippi River include:
- Tamia Taylor, who was shot to death at a Covington event center
- A 21-year-old who never got off a birthday cruise on the Mississippi River
A body was found on a barge on the Mississippi River early Saturday morning, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
The barge was located two miles south of the Shelby Forest boat ramp when police were called to the scene at 7:30 a.m.
A woman’s body was located on top of the barge.
The SCSO investigation is ongoing.
