Monsieur Poulpe is definitely aptly named. The one we met at the presentation of “Tipsy Recipes” has more than one trick up his sleeve. He goes on stage for a first show, “Navel”. The message is clear: Monsieur Octopus will talk about himself. And he does it very well! From the loneliness of his childhood in Africa alongside a father who we imagine as a secret agent; of his love breakups and his morbid fear of commitment; his chronic pain in the abdomen which led him to the hospital and which we guess was largely psychosomatic… All the themes are covered in a clever staging: two microphones are installed on stage, one to tell the truth, the other for “the madnesses”.

From the stage, then, but also from fiction. Monsieur Poulpe has just unveiled “Les Frères Pétoux”, a series created for Studio Bagel, halfway between science fiction and pure craziness in which he embodies all the roles himself!

So many reasons to ask Monsieur Poulpe to rewind his career in our new episode of “Magnéto”. He talks to us about his comic influences (from Didier Bénureau to Michel Courtemanche), his cult lines, his favorite video games (big revelation on “Assassin’s Creed”)… And, of course, as a worthy ex-presenter of “Crac Crac” , he explains to us how a film by Marc Dorcel made him aware of the class struggle. Just that !

Madness, Etienne Daho and Jean Rochefort: we rewind Vincent Delerm’s “Magnéto”Navela show by Monsieur Poulpe, from Thursday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Palais des Glaces, Paris (10e), more informations.
