Mrs. Blanca Mónica Hernández Castro attended a mass officiated in the church of San Francisco de Asís in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, on May 10, to ask to return her missing son before the cancer he suffers takes his life.

“I am dying of cancer, my life is ending and I am afraid of not seeing my son again because I have not found him for ten months and the authority does nothing,” said Hernández Castro.

The young César Alberto Castro Hernández disappeared on July 9, 2022 in the capital city. That same day Blanca Mónica’s brother also disappeared.

Six months earlier, on January 6, her other son was also murdered in Chilpancingo.

“César Alberto was the only one of my children that I have left and I don’t know if I can see him because I have cancer,” said the woman who is supported by one of her relatives to walk.
