The XXL weekend for the carnivals continues with problems in traffic, and more precisely in the Pan American Highway. This Monday morning, five cars involved in a multi-car crash, where a 25-year-old woman died. The event occurred at the height of Fondo de la Legua avenue, meters from the Thames exit, towards Buenos Aires province.
The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at kilometer 18 of the Pan Americanwhen the driver of a Ford Fiesta stopped driving on the left lane of the highway due to a flat tire.

The drivers of the five cars involved underwent the alcohol controland one of them, the one that triggered the accident, the result was positive with 2.4 grams of alcohol in blood, and the police took him away from the delayed place. Once at the police station, he must make a statement and make his version of the facts known.
The multiple accident caused traffic delays, and a row of vehicles of 1.5 kilometers. It is recommended to drive with caution because some of the cars were still in the place.
Road and police personnel kept three lanes of the highway closed, in the direction of the province, to facilitate the tasks of expertise and removal of vehicles.
Néstor, the owner of the car that suffered the tire blowout, spoke to the media present at the scene, and described what happened. “A tire bursts, I can’t move forward, I put the triangle with the beacon, and I signaled with the cell phone flashlight so that they would avoid me. And the Fiat came over me,” said the driver.
And he added: “When I see it coming I ran. Miraculously it didn’t hit me or kill me. I only hurt my elbow.”
He also assured that he tried to speak to the driver of the vehicle that first hit his car and said: “When I’m going to ask him what happened, he stammered, that’s when I realized he was drunk”.
