Musk shares in X video of Javier Milei in which he praises conservatism

NEW YORK– In a new sign of his support for the political turn that is about to take place in Argentina, the owner of the social network

To Musk’s action, the new Argentine president responded in a conspiratorial tone that the two should talk.

On his income.

Milei, who will assume the presidency of Argentina on Sunday, echoed the impact that the video shared by the magnate had and replied: “We need to talk, Elon.”

Friedman admirer

Milei is a confessed admirer of Friedman, a prominent American economist who won the 1976 Nobel Prize in Economics.

“There is a phrase from Milton Friedman that seems sublime to me, which is that, when you put equality above freedom, you end up achieving neither of the two, (but) when you put freedom above equality, you achieve many things from both,” Milei said in that interview that was resurfaced on the social network run by the technology magnate.

Milei later pointed out in the same interview that Stuart Mill, a 19th century British philosopher, economist, and politician, pointed out that a society that emphasizes equality “ultimately becomes a society of looters and sinks… that is the history of Argentina”.

The libertarian also stressed that income redistribution consists of “using the repressive apparatus of the State to remove the successful” and distributing it in a whimsical way “depending on what the person in the chair wants.”

It is not the first time that Musk, founder of SpaceX and director of Tesla, has spoken out on social networks in favor of Milei.

“Prosperity is about to come to Argentina,” the magnate wrote when Milei won the presidential second round on November 19 over the Peronist and also Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa.
