This January 2, the General Directorate of Civil Protection in coordination with various institutions of the Government of El Salvador continue to remove garbage from the streets in the municipality of Soyapango for the sixth consecutive day; this within the framework of the National Collection Plan that aims to care for the health of the population, by preventing sources of infection in the municipality.

In this sense, the collection day on Monday includes on its route: Colonia Bosques del Río, Las Margaritas urbanization, Ciudad Credisa.

Likewise, and as part of the inter-institutional work, prisoners who are part of the Zero Leisure Plan of the General Directorate of Penal Centers are also deployed in said points of the municipality to join the garbage collection work.

Through the execution of the National Collection Plan in Soyapango, the Government fulfills its objective of guaranteeing the health of the inhabitants of the municipality of Soyapango.

Among the most collected solid waste are branches, bags, wrappers, plates, disposable cups, glass bottles, plastic, among others, which are transported for final disposal.

Previously, the Government also carried out this type of solid waste collection days in the municipalities of Mejicanos and Apopa as a sign of its commitment to care for the health and well-being of all Salvadorans.
