Naga is known for her cheeky jokes on the popular morning show, but today she found herself at the end of the joke.

It came after Naga and her BBC Breakfast co-star Roger Johnson wanted to give viewers a weather update halfway through the programme.

Presenter Chris appeared on screen with a striking photo of a sunrise behind him.

Roger exclaimed, “Now what is this? Red skies in the morning, warning from the shepherds?

The weather correspondent then mocked Naga, explaining, “Well, Naga was complaining just half an hour ago.”

She laughed and added, “That’s not like me, is it?”

He told viewers that Naga complained about his original photograph of a rainy sky looking “too dark” for a Saturday morning.

“So I thought I’d put a more cheerful image on the screen behind me,” Chris pointed out after changing the image.

Naga chimed in, “You got an ‘Oh’ this time when I turned around and saw you, that’s lovely.”

As Chris watched the sunrise photograph taken in Walmer, Kent, by a viewer named Mrs M, he warned Naga to “behave”.

Meanwhile, Naga took a cheeky swipe at co-star Mike Bushell yesterday after he commented on his “tired” appearance live on air.

She was joined in the studio by fellow host Ben Thompson on Friday morning.

Naga, who often enjoys harmless banter with her co-stars, was quick to pop a pop at sportscaster Mike Bushell.

She joked that Mike looked “tired” just before delivering his sports segment on the morning show.

Highlighting Mike’s sleep-deprived appearance, Naga said: “It happens at twenty to seven…”

She then jokingly exclaimed, “Now…tired, Mike?”

Mike cheerfully took the jibe and turned to the camera and confessed, “Am I? I didn’t sleep last night, actually!

But Naga reassured him that she was only joking as “fatigue” was a key theme in her pending football segment.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
