The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, revealed a revision of the compensation system for education employees, after the promulgation of the law on the sector. This will allow education employees to benefit from new salary increases in addition to those approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who also ordered the finalization of the teachers’ bill before December 31, 2022.
Indeed, during the radio forum, which took place today, Monday, January 2, 2023, the Minister explained that each fundamental law promulgated is necessarily followed by a new compensatory system, and therefore, after the promulgation of the fundamental law for the employees of the national education sector, there will be a new compensatory system, since the latter will be reviewed, which will allow increases and a second salary increase in addition to those approved by the Head of the state, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Order orders an increase in retirement pensions and unemployment benefits for 2023
During the last Council of Ministers, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which was held on December 25, 2022, the issue of the purchasing power of Algerians was at the heart of this meeting, recalling that the latter has deteriorated the last two years. The Head of State therefore gave several instructions to the government, including several increases in pensions, salaries and allowances.
According to the press release from the Council of Ministers, the first beneficiaries of this increase are retirees. Indeed, those who received less than 10,000 dinars, they will benefit from a revaluation, and will go to a pension of 15,000 Algerian dinars.
For retirees who receive a pension of 15,000 Algerian dinars, their income will increase to 20,000 dinars, an increase of 5,000 Da.
Young graduates and job seekers are also affected by these increases. Indeed, for this year 2023, unemployment benefit will increase from 13,000 to 15,000 Algerian dinars, an increase of 2,000 dinars. In addition to this allowance, young unemployed people will benefit from medical coverage (CNAS) throughout the job search period.
