Due to maintenance tasks at the Donato Gerardi water treatment plant in Punta Lara, this Saturday, April 29, the drinking water service could be restricted in different neighborhoods of La Plata and Ensenada, the ABSA company reported.

The actions will focus on the loading tower that feeds the Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (PRFV) aqueduct, which transfers part of the drinking water produced at the plant, to the re-pumping located at 120 and 33.

The tasks to be carried out consist of the removal of pipes and the inspection of the chamber to evaluate future maintenance and improvement tasks.

In order to make the maneuvers effective, it is necessary to interrupt the load of water that enters the GRP Aqueduct, and stop the re-pumping of 120 and 33 that feeds a sector of Tolosa, Ringuelet, and the Hipódromo, Vareadores, Autonomía, Catella and El Dique neighborhoods. . Work is expected to start early in the morning and last until the afternoon.

Faced with this situation, ABSA recommends safeguarding water reserves and using them for essentials and hydration.
