Families living in the exclusive gated community Grand Bell paid last year an extraordinary expense of a quarter of a million pesos to build a fence to increase security. However, last weekend there were two robberies and these were with the criminals entering through the main access.
It was in julio last year that the inhabitants of the private neighborhood were notified with the increase in expenses. Specific, they had to pay $250,000 when at that time they paid $50,000 per month.
without prior notice, The Grand Bell Board of Directors notified them of the extraordinary amount to be paid in order to install a new perimeter fence that would be planted around all the hectares of the property.
Despite the complaints and the statement issued by the neighbors for having such an increase for breakfast, they paid that amount that did not discriminate between homes or lot dimensions.
However, they recently suffered two robberies that rock the neighborhood. In these events, the aforementioned siege could do nothing since, in at least one of the episodes, the thieves entered after a guard raised the barrier for them.
Currently, the owners of each of the 350 lots in the neighborhood pay $98,000 in expenses per month.
THE THEFTS OF THE WEEKEND
Around 7:20 p.m. last Saturday, a Peugeot 208 passed the controls and entered the Grand Bell country with four people inside: a woman -who was with her face uncovered- and three semi-hooded men. Upon reaching the control booth, the driver pretended to support a card to enter and the guard, despite not having a record of it or certifying the identity of those who entered, raised the barrier allowing her access.
Once inside, those involved circled for almost two hours waiting for the family’s son to leave the mansion of 613 covered square meters. When he left, the three men entered and in nine minutes they took a million-dollar sum of money and weapons.
In the escape they collided with the barrier that prevented them from leaving the private neighborhood and in this way they fled. They were filmed.
The same Saturday he registered another robbery in the neighborhood of which the family became aware after returning from a trip to the Costa. Upon entering the home, they realized that various belongings had been entered and stolen, including various jewels.
