Ever since Formula 1: Drive to Survive started showing on Netflix and became a success, Netflix has been looking at how to offer this type of documentary series around other sports. Thanks to this, we have already received tennis’s Break Point and golf’s Full Swing, and there are a number of others coming throughout the year. Now another series has been added to this list.
This series is called Quarterback and allows us to follow three NFL quarterbacks through the 2022 season, where each player is equipped with a microphone and thus can be followed in a way never seen before. As for the players in the spotlight, we can look forward to Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes (who happened to lead the team to a Super Bowl victory this year and also take home the MVP award).
Netflix says Quarterback will be released in the summer, and considering the NFL season kicks off in September, we’d think the series would kick off the preseason in August for synergy.
