A multiplayer adventure set in the inhospitable world in which The Last of Us games take place has been on the cards for quite some time, but as you know, the information has been sparse at best and downright non-existent at times if you want to be really harsh. Now, however, it seems that Naughty Dog is getting ready to talk more about the upcoming title as one blog posts talks about the future of the series and what fans can look forward to. They announce, among other things, that during the year they will talk more about the game in question, and they describe the project in the following way:
“With a team led by Vinit Agarwal, Joe Pettinati, and Anthony Newman, the project is shaping up to be a fresh, new experience from our studio, but one rooted in Naughty Dog’s passion for delivering incredible stories, characters, and gameplay.”
They also took the opportunity to share a new image depicting concept art from the multiplayer party in question, and below you can see how a large cruise ship has crashed over a palm-filled sun paradise where rusty cars and crumbling walls form part of the scenery.
