Mid-May and no end in sight: This week will again bring heavy rain showers, spring is still far too wet. The snow line will drop on Wednesday night.
The cloudy and shower-prone weather is already continuing this Monday. It goes through the day with rain showers and in between sunny breaks. At times gusty strong wind freshens up. The rain showers are frequent in the first half of the day, the snow line is 1,500 to 1,700 meters, in the afternoon to evening there should be more sunny phases. With a north-westerly flow, the temperatures will remain subdued, the maximum values will be between 13 and 18 degrees.
Continuous rain on Tuesday
On Tuesday, with the influence of low pressure and a light north current, there will be many clouds and continuous rain during the course of the day. Heavy rain is expected in the afternoon to overnight. Larger amounts of rain can also accumulate in the northwestern areas from Lake Constance to the Bregenzerwald and in the Kleinwalsertal. It stays cool, the snow line is initially at 2,000 meters and drops to 1,500 to 1,000 meters on Wednesday night. The lows are 5 to 10 degrees, the highs 8 to 13 degrees.
Wintry high mountains on Wednesday
Wednesday will also continue to be cloudy, cool and wet with rain and snowfall up to medium altitudes of 1,500 to 1,000 meters. The rain should become weaker during the course of the day, and at the same time the snow line should rise a little. In the high mountains the weather will be wintry with fresh snow. The lows are 4 to 9 degrees, the highs 8 to 12 degrees.
Sunshine possible on Friday
On Thursday, Ascension Day, there will be sunshine at times, but loose cumulus clouds will develop over the course of the day, from which isolated weak rain showers are possible in the mountains in the afternoon and evening. The wind blows from northeast to east. A very fresh morning is followed by a very mild afternoon. The lows are 1 to 6 degrees, the highs 12 to 18 degrees. On Friday the weather is likely to be calm with sunshine and cumulus clouds in the afternoon, with isolated showers possible. There is little wind at all altitudes. Fresh in the morning, moderately warm in the afternoon with around 20 degrees.
