A plan that began in the fall of 2020 was brought to fruition with a new agreement that includes renting just $1 a year on a 2.5-acre property for 40 years on the edge of Hogans Creek, which features the support of the Downtown Investment Authority (DIA).

DETAILS

The project requires that the new museum facilities be at least 75,000 square feet; however, MOSH management has committed to expanding it to over 100,000 square feet with a three-story building.

The municipality will contribute funds for the construction of car parks and the alteration of the streets and public services around the area designated for the museum that will open in 2027 at an estimated cost of 85 million dollars.
