Capcom was so eager to show off Street Fighter 6 that we got to see the full roster of 18 characters last September, but many fans noticed that four beloved players from the leaks were missing. Now we know why.
As expected, all four will be added post-launch if you’re willing to pay for them or buy the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Street Fighter 6. Rashid will be the first and he’ll arrive in “summer”, and then we’ll get AKI this fall before Ed is ready to fight sometime in “Winter 2024”. Perhaps they’ve saved the best for last for the first year though, as Akuma is done warming up next spring.
Maybe you’re a little annoyed that these four aren’t available right away on June 2nd, so Capcom has also decided to remind us with a new trailer that Street Fighter 6 has an extensive avatar creator that you’ll be able to use as you explore the World Tour and fight. Hopefully this means you can create someone who at least looks a little like your favorite in the meantime.
