RB Leipzig may have to prepare for a financially strong transfer attack from England. According to ‘Sky’, Newcastle United are showing concrete interest in the two midfielders Amadou Haidara (25) and Dominik Szoboszlai (22). The latter should be higher on the list.
The Premier League third-placed watched the duo both at home and away, most recently in the 2-0 defeat in Leverkusen. Haidara is under contract until 2025, Szoboszlai a year longer. Both came from Salzburg for around 20 million euros. Szoboszlai now has a €70m release clause.
Zingerle is coming
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will take concrete steps: Leopold Zingerle (29) has meanwhile taken these steps. The ‘Leipziger Volkszeitung’ reports that the goalkeeper will switch from SC Paderborn to RB in the summer. The medical check is still pending.
Zingerle is only a substitute for the second division, his contract in Paderborn expires at the end of the season. In Leipzig, the keeper should then take the place in the squad from Örjan Nyland (32), whose contract also ends.
