There are now just two days left until the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to Breath of the Wild. the adventure will take us to a much more elaborate version of Hyrule complete with innovative abilities for Link. But of course there are many who hesitate to jump into the game at launch because they haven’t played the predecessor, but Nintendo has a reassuring message for them.
In a href=” target=”_blank”>Ask the Developer: Volume 9 Eiji Aonuma says that it is not a requirement to have played Breath of the Wild to enjoy Tears of the Kingdom, this because it is “very easy to integrate into it” and its game system “are very intuitive”.
Tears of the Kingdoms director Hidemaro Fujibayashi also explained how the team made sure the story is “comfortable” for both new and returning fans. We still recommend you play Breath of the Wild first, if only because it’s one of the most important and defining titles of the last decade.
