Noel Gallagher mixes rock with Latin rhythms in his new song “Council Skies”
We had already told you that this year, Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds will release their fourth studio album, titled Council Skies. From this album we have already had the chance to listen to several singles that left us with a great taste in our mouths, such as “Pretty Boy”, “Easy Now” and “Death to the World”. But now we have the song of the same name and we must tell you that it blew their minds.
To give you an idea of how this song sounds, the good Noel Gallagher mixed in it a typical rock base (you know, bass, drums and guitars) cwith rhythms and a very Latin vibe, as well as an orchestra that gives an epic touch to the song. Without a doubt, the mastermind behind Oasis never ceases to amaze us and show us that he is one of the best artists of his entire generation.
In accordance with NMENoel Gallagher revealed that both the song “Council Skies” and the entire album are inspired by the life and work of Sheffield artist Pete McKee. In this regard, the British musician said the following:
“That’s when the whole concept of the thing started to take shape (talking about when he thought of McKee). When I’m back in Manchester, you see huge swaths of your youth locked up, missing… it’s a stark reminder to try to take it all in while it’s still there.”
