Even before the award ceremony has started, Jens Christian Isaksen from Bergen won his first prize in the category “Best Dance/Electronic Recording” for the Beyoncé song “Break My Soul”.

Several nominated Norwegians

Isaksen is also nominated in the categories song recording of the year and album of the year.

Ski man Morten Lindberg won his first Grammy in 2020. Now he is nominated in the category “Best Immersive Audio Album” for his work on the albums “Picturing the Invisible: Focus 1” and “Tuvayhun – Beautitudes for a Wounded World”.

For the latter, he is also nominated in the “Best Engineered Album Classical” category.

41-year-old Beyoncé is the queen herself this year, she is nominated in a total of nine categories. Her “Break My Soul” is nominated for both recording of the year and song of the year, while “Renaissance” could win the Grammy for best album.

Kendrick Lamar walked away with the second most nominations this year – eight. Adele and Brandi Carlile are nominated in seven categories. Many see Adele and Beyoncé as their main competitors. The latter remains the most winning artist – but she has never won Album of the Year.

The Abba group is nominated for best album for “Voyage”, recording of the year for “Don’t shut me down” and in the category best performance by a group.

The award ceremony starts at 02:00 tonight, Norwegian time.
